Sorel (Shoe Litter)
Gender: Female
Date of Birth: Janauary 29th, 2026
Breed(s): Shepherd Mix
Kennel Training: Sorel and her kennel have a complicated relationship! When the kennel door is open, Sorel strolls in, takes naps, and plays with her toys. When the kennel door is closed, Sorel is quite reluctant, often whining or barking for the duration of her kennel time. She is getting used to being in her kennel for 3-4 hours while we are at work and I can see her getting more accustomed to her kennel each day. She appreciates white noise at night since she is a light sleeper and rustling noises wake her. She will wake and whine 1-2 times per night to let you know she needs to pee. Once settled and relieved, she sleeps like a rock!
House Training: About 70% success and is learning signals. Sorel is learning very quickly! She has not had any #2 accidents inside - way to go, girl! She knows how to find the door to the backyard when she feels like she has to go #1 and #2. She occasionally finds a rug or dog bed that looks like it needs to be rained on, but is receptive to learning that she has the whole backyard as a bathroom. Keep that Little Green Machine on standby!
Personality: Hi everyone, I’m Sorel! I’m a sweet, fluffy, and energetic pup who loves to play! I’m very affectionate and will give you lots of kisses every chance I get. I’m still young and discovering the world. I have a gentle nature and I thrive on attention, belly rubs, and being close to my people. Whether it’s exploring a new toy, following you from room to room, or curling up for a cozy nap, I bring warmth and joy to every moment.
If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow with a big heart, Sorel might just be the perfect addition to your family. 💛 Balanced and still developing. Sorel is working on her confidence with meeting new humans and warming up to her foster dog sister, Paisley. She is eager to sniff a new friend but is skittish when she hears loud barks. Her playful spurts of energy are followed by heavy-hitting naps. She loves being around humans and leaning against our feet in the living room or under the kitchen table. She likes being held, but loves sprawling out on her own even more. She loves crinkly toys and her rubber bone! She often follows us around and watches us make supper. She is a very good eater and is growing every day.
Medical Care: One round of vaccine and three rounds of dewormer. Medical Note: The shoe litter was one of our parvo litters. There is no concerns going forward and have been medically cleared.
Adoption Fee: $350.00 at the time of adoption; $100.00 can be returned or donated once fixed according to contract standards
