Kennel Training: Cove can be kenneled and does fine. Usually needs a treat to go in. She was also getting kenneled at night at a different foster. She has been left loose and was fine.
House Training: She's completely house trained and barks to be let out.

Personality: Cove is a great dog but it is evident she lacked training. She is extremely smart and learns things quickly. She will need an active family who is willing to put in the work with her training.

She has learned to sit, stay ,and wait for me to put her food dish down. She's loves to play ball and will fetch forever. She is a strong puller while walking, she is very food motivated so it helps to have some in hand when training or walking. She's still gets very excited about going out the door for a walk and takes a lot of closing the door and starting over but she really wants to please.

She is very smart and loyal and when she wants cuddles she comes and sits by me. She is a chewer and cannot be trusted with anything left on the counter even for 30 seconds! However, she's learned that when I say out that she has to leave the kitchen. She is such a sweet girl and would do well in a quieter home as she's easily over stimulated but has improved so much.

She loves the dog park and dogs in general, but struggles to understand cues from other dogs when they are done playing. Can distract her with treats. toys are her obsession and car rides. She will make someone a wonderful pet.

She got along great with cats in one of the foster homes, was very gentle. She needed some leash guidance (or food motivation) to be redirected when she would try to play with them and she would no problem.

Medical Care: Spayed and vaccinated. MEDICAL NOTE: Cove does have food allergies, we were informed it was chicken. She has been started on cytopoint injections to help as she was getting constant ear infections. This has seemed to help.
