Kennel Training: Althea enjoys her kennel, especially the treats she gets when she goes in! She has been left up to 4 hours but will get very restless if not let out.

House Training: We've been working hard on this! If we take her outside she will always go but is still learning to indicate. She has a natural bathroom schedule so consistency is key with Althea. There are still some house accidents.

Personality: This cute and playful puppy has enthusiasm for life! Althea had a rough start, arriving with mange & infection but she has overcome it all and has a clean bill of health, and it shows. She is happy all the time and wants to play with our big dogs always. She loves all the snuggles & pets too though. She sleeps by herself on a dog bed in our room at night, but looks for morning cuddles. She is an active & tenacious puppy. She loves to rip apart cardboard boxes & chew on her sticks and toys. Althea will need someone with the time & knowledge to direct her energy into positive training (or someone willing to learn). She is incredibly smart so training won't be a problem. She has also found her bark, and loves to get your attention. Teaching her to whisper would be a good trick lol. She is good with all dogs & children, but has not been around cats as far as we know. Althea is adorable, sweet, & clever and everyone absolutely loves her. We know her perfect family is just waiting for her to get posted.

Medical Care: $350.00 at the time of adoption; $100.00 can be returned or donated once fixed according to contract standard. MEDICAL NOTE: Althea has vaginitis, this means she was inflammation in her vagina. This means she might pee more often due to being uncomfortable. She is on meds to help this but vets usually encourage to wait for first heat before spaying with this diagnosis.
